During this day, you will discuss different topics related to the 6th World Water Forum 2012 in Marseille. Also, innovative communication tools will be demonstrated in interactive workshops by different water sector companies. Besides, the new young water professional ambassador and the best Tracing Movie will be chosen!
International Water Movie Challenge:
Tracing The Young International Water Week will kick off with a grand opening! Roelof Kruize (CEO Waternet) and the current YWP ambassador Dirk Janssen will open the programme. The top three ‘tracing the water drop’ movies will be presented and during the day you can vote for your favorite movie. The other submitted movies will be
shown during the breaks. The best entry wins the Water Movie Award 2011 and a 100% Waterproof Prize!
YWP-Ambassador debate
The nominated candidates for the Young Water Professional ambassador contest will be introduced by Dirk Janssen. The YWP ambassador is the YWP IWW program leader and connector for the IWW between the current professionals and young professionals and students. Prior to the IWW 2011 you can sign up to join the competition to become the next YWP ambassador! The new YWP ambassador will be chosen by a jury and by you. In workshops you will challenge the candidates in a debate. Different topics related to the 6th World Water Forum 2012 will be discussed. The new YWP ambassador will be announced today!
Innovative Communication Tools
Different water sector companies will demonstrate innovative communication tools in interactive workshops. How do you save a city from flooding? Use touchtables to find out! Test your disaster management skills with Serious Gaming; explore the area with augmented reality apps to discover innovative solutions and watch interesting animations and water movies. Two key note speakers will discuss how these tools will shape the water sector in the future. Attendants will be transported from Waternet
to the IWW opening ceremony at the RAI, where the winner of the Water Movie Award 2011 and the new Young Water Professional Ambassador will be presented.
